We offer engineered and non-engineered roof and wall panel profiles. All of our profiles are tested to meet minimum UL 90 approvals, and many others are tested to more stringent requirements for wind uplifts, water penetration, water submersion, air infiltration, and impact resistance.
And although we don’t fabricate and sell panels ourselves, this allows us to assist customers from the beginning of their project through finished installation without competition getting in the way.

Non-Engineered Standing Seam Metal Roofing & Wall Profiles
Sheffield Metals also offers non-engineered panel profiles. Non-engineered doesn’t mean that these profiles don’t have any testing whatsoever – most have a lot of testing still included. They just aren’t fully engineered systems.

How do I use engineering?
Engineering provides comprehensive specs commonly required for commercial projects, including uplift testing, water penetration testing, hail and fire ratings, and more. Engineering takes the entire roofing system into account – the type of metal, accessories, and substrate. All these components are tested to ensure the system will last.
Which machine or profile do I need?
Sheffield Metals engineering is compatible with New Tech Machinery rollformers. Our engineered panel profiles are listed above.
What wind speed can my panel withstand?
All of our panels are tested to meet UL 90 wind uplift approvals and many can withstand much more stringent tests. You can click on each profile to see details of testing.
Is engineering for commercial or residential?
While our engineering is geared for commercial projects, we also offer testing and engineering for panels typically used on residential projects.
Do you provide the panels?
Sheffield Metals does not sell metal panels. Instead, we provide metal coils, which can then be run through a rollformer.
What about job-specific testing?
Sheffield Metals does offer testing for job-specific projects.
